A field experiment was carried out during kharif seasons of 2020-21 to 2022-23 at Kota, Rajasthan, to study the effect of post emergence herbicides on productivity of pigeon pea (Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp). The experiment had 13 treatments which were laid out in randomized block design with 3 replications. Results indicated that minimum density and dry weight of weed, maximum growth, yield attributes, yields and net return of pigeon pea were obtained in weed free treatment. Among the herbicidal weed control measures, pendimethalin 30 EC @ 0.75 kg a.i/ha (PE) followed by (fb) Imazethapyr 10 SL @ 100 g a.i/ha at 20-25 DAS + One inter cultivation at 50 DAS recorded significantly minimum weed count & dry weight of weed at 60 DAS and significantly higher plant height, pods/branch, pods/plant, weed control efficiency, 100 seed weight, biological yield, net return and B:C ratio over weedy check. Minimum weed count & dry weight of weed at 60 DAS were also observed However, branches/plant, seeds/pod, seed and stalk yield found significantly higher in pendimethalin 30 EC @ 0.75 kg a.i/ha (PE) fb Propaquizalop 2.5 % + Imazethapyr 3.7 % w/w @ 50+75 = 125 g a.i/ha a 20-25 DAS + One inter cultivation at 50 DAS as compared to weed check.
