Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at Chiplima, Sambalpur, Orissa, to find out the effect of nursery seeding density on seedling vigour and yield of summer rice (Oryza sativa L.) under varying seedling rates. The seedlings became taller, thinner and lighter with less leaf and root growth due to increase in the nursery seeding density.
