Abstract

A field experiment was conducted during north-east monsoon season of 1997- 98 and 1998-99 at Coimbatore, to study the influence of different row ratios on yield and economics of sorghum [Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench] + soybean [Glycine ma% (L.) Merr.] intercropping under rainfed vertisol conditions. Growing sorghum + soybean at 3:6 ratio was the best for getting higher grain yields, net returns and benefit :cost ratio. Key words : + soybean intercropping, Row ratio, Sorghum Sorghum equivalent, Economics
