Abstract

An experiment was conducted  during the Rabi season of 2021-22 at Agricultural Research Farm, Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Banaras Hindu University, Barkachha, Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh  to explore the effect of integrated nutrient management on the growth and yield of Mustard under guava based agri-horti system. The field experiment comprising 8 treatment viz., Control, 100% RDF+30kg S+ 5kg Zn, 50% RDF+15kg S+ 2.5 kg Zn +2.5 ton/ha FYM+ two spray of nano urea, 50% RDF+15kg S+ 2.5 kg Zn +5 ton/ha FYM+ one spray of nano urea, 75% RDF+22.5 kg S+ 3.7 kg Zn +2.5 ton/ha FYM+ two spray of nano urea, 75% RDF+22.5 kg S+ 3.7 kg Zn +5 ton/ha FYM+ one spray of nano urea, 100 % RDF+30kg S+ 5kg Zn + 2.5 ton/ha FYM, 100% RDF+30kg S+ 5kg Zn+ 5 ton/ha FYM, were laid out in randomized block design, with 3 replications. During the course of study including morphological and yield attributes as affected by farmyard manure , nano urea and inorganic fertilizers. Plants treated with 75% RDF+22.5 kg S+ 3.7 kg Zn +2.5 ton/ha FYM+ two spray of nano urea at different stages showed improved growth-attributing traits, viz. plant height, number of primary and secondary branches and dry matter accumulation. Also, the yield-attributing traits, viz. number of siliqua per  plant,Siliqua length, Number of seeds per siliqua ,test weight, Seed yield and stover yield were significantly higher in plants treated with 75% RDF+22.5 kg S+ 3.7 kg Zn +2.5 ton/ha FYM+ two spray of nano urea which was statistically at par to 75% RDF+22.5 kg S+ 3.7 kg Zn +5 ton/ha FYM+ one spray of nano urea . The maximum amount of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and sulphur uptake was  observed in 75% RDF+22.5 kg S+ 3.7 kg Zn +2.5 ton/ha FYM+ two spray of nano urea than rest of treatments. So,integrated nutrient management under guava based agri-horti system can be practiced for getting higher yields and also ensuring environmental sustainability.
